AKW, the UK’s leader in showering, daily living and kitchen solutions for the elderly, disabled and less able people is taking its Styleability message with a strong presence at Naidex South on October 19th and 20th.  As well as a vibrant stand, the company is represented in both the Independent Living Show Home and at the exhibition Conference.

For the Independent Living Show Home, AKW was the supplier chosen to provide an accessible  kitchen in a realistic home setting.  For this, the company donated a Worcester  kitchen in stunning red which encompasses its Styleability message that people with  mobility needs  do not have to compromise on style or choice when choosing products for their home.  A striking modern design, the Worcester range incorporates special features such as a rise and fall unit and pull-down baskets to create a multi-user kitchen offering a wide choice of unit options.

Representing the company at the first Naidex South CPD Conference is Key Account Manager, Malcolm Crawford who will be giving  advice on how to choose a shower tray on Thursday 20th at 2.00pm.  When designing an adapted bathroom AKW recommend that the single biggest improvement that can be made is to replace the standard bath with an easy-access showering enclosure.  Malcolm’s  seminar session will cover the options available, including low-level shower trays and wet rooms.

On the stand itself, there will be plenty to see with the opportunity to find out about AKW’s extensive range of 4,000 products, plus a daily demonstration of its innovative electric care shower, the LUDA.  Designed specifically for the care market, the LUDA has already won a great deal of praise from both specifiers and users.  Residents in one assisted-living development have said that the installation of LUDA showers has given them their independence back and “transformed” their lives.  Features of the BEAB CARE standard LUDA include a dual-purpose riser/grab rail, enhanced electrical safety and RNIB accreditation for Inclusive Design. On both days of the show, there will also be an opportunity to win a LUDA shower.

Ruth Bury, Group Marketing Director of AKW, says:  “This is our third Naidex show this year and at the previous two we have had an extremely positive response to our Styleability campaign.  We are showing our passion for giving people, whatever their needs, the freedom to create living spaces that enhance their quality of life in practical ways without them having to sacrifice choice or style.”

AKW’s Styleability campaign; based on the concept of offering choice, style and value, features case studies, testimonials and tips on bathroom and kitchen planning. Supported by a regular e-zine newsletter plus social media platforms; Facebook and Twitter, offering followers the chance to share experiences, exchange advice and take part in exclusive competitions.

AKW can be seen on stand H10 at Naidex South.
