A new trading agreement has been secured between AKW, the leading supplier of showering and daily living products for the elderly and disabled, and the National Merchant Buying Society (NMBS).

NMBS is the most successful buying group in the UK for independent builders, plumbers, hardware and timber merchants. Its mission is to ensure members get the best deal from suppliers by providing a cost-effective route to the independent marketplace.

The trading agreement between the two companies provides a great opportunity for NMBS members to obtain specialist showering and kitchen products from the market leading supplier. The move continues to strengthen business links between AKW, merchants and buying groups. Plus, the tradesman and end user customers will now be able to buy AKW products competitively priced and conveniently through their local independent merchant.

With AKW continuing to invest in the improvement of its new and existing products and routes to market, the trading agreement with NMBS will promote AKW’s portfolio of over 4,000 products to an even wider audience.

Baljit Singh, Category Manager at NMBS, commented: “The trading agreement with AKW allows the NMBS membership a fantastic opportunity in a growing market, with a market leading supplier.”

Steve Zouch, UK Sales Director at AKW, commented: “The trading agreement with NMBS is an important step forward with regards to our long term strategy as a brand and the service we provide. By investing in our supply chain network through reaching new merchants and buying groups we will continue to grow and develop, and AKW look forward to building a strong professional relationship with the NMBS in the future.”
