Roy and Martie Harris have lived at Royal Court for 7 years and are very happy here. They both suffer from slight dementia but as Roy mentioned “we have each other so we are very happy”.
Having previously had a bath in the bathroom, the couple were very pleased to be the first couple in the care home to have their bathroom adapted to a wet room.
“I am terrified of water so the new bathroom is much better now” said Martie “It is much easier than getting in and out of a bath, and I used to have to have help to get in and out, but now I can do it myself”.
“We also like the new rails as it makes you feel safe and they are easy to grip. The whole bathroom makes you feel safer” commented Roy.
