Where are you based?

AKW is a UK based company with worldwide distribution channels. From its central location in Worcestershire, the two AKW sites provide head office activity, customer services, business support teams, UK warehousing and distribution.

What do AKW sell?

AKW is the market leading manufacturer and supplier of a range of products for the elderly and less able throughout the UK. Our product ranges cover showering, daily living and kitchens – offering a wide choice of products to enhance the independence and lifestyle of our clients.

Throughout this website and our catalogue you will see that we offer shower enclosures and trays with low level and completely level access as well as wet floor solutions. We also offer showers and products which enhance independence in the bathroom.

The AKW bathroom products range covers sanitaryware; grab rails, shower seats, bath boards and seats. This range is continually expanding with the products to suit the needs and wants of our clients.

Our kitchen solutions are aimed at catering for the elderly and less able but provide inclusive design for all family members. All of our kitchens are specifically made for the individual needs creating a kitchen to suit the client’s requirements. Our kitchens can also be designed to provide a solution for multi-user households.

All AKW products are designed and manufactured with the end user in mind while being easy to use, install and maintain.

Do you sell to the general public?

As manufacturers we are unable to offer an installation service, however, we welcome enquiries from the general public and are always happy to supply further information on request.

Can I use your images for our company brochure or website?

Yes. To obtain a copy of any of our images or company logos you will need to get in touch via our contact form specifying which images you would like.

Can I visit your showroom?

With pleasure! You can contact your local business development manager or alternativly request a showroom visit online.

What are your opening hours?

Our office hours are open 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday for your convenience. We are closed on all UK public holidays.

How do I get a bathroom or kitchen survey?

To have a bathroom or kitchen survey completed by our experienced CRB-checked national surveying team you need to contact your local sales advisor. If you do not have these contact details please call our customer service team on 01905 823 298.

Can someone visit me to talk about my specific requirements?

Yes we can. To make an appointment with your local sales manager please call 01905 823 298. Our dedicated customer service team will either contact the relevant person on your behalf or provide you with the correct contact details. Can I open an account with AKW?

Yes, however we may use credit reference (CRA) and fraud prevention (FPA) agencies to help make our decision before we can open you an account. Please see our credit reference terms in our Terms and Conditions.

How do I open an account?

What is GRP?

Glass-reinforced plastic (GRP), is a composite material or fiber reinforced plastic made of a plastic reinforced by fine fibers made of glass. The material is commonly used in structural components as well as in cars, aircrafts and boats. AKW use GRP for some of our shower trays to provide superb strength and allows the installer to easily trim the tray to length or adapt to the fitting environment.

What is a Wet Floor?

A wet floor is an increasingly popular type of showering solution. The shower tray (Tuff Form®) is installed and then the flooring is placed on top of this, creating a completely level floor within the showering area. This type of shower is ideal for users with or without a disability making it the ideal option for multi-user bathrooms.

Do AKW offer a warranty on its products?

Yes AKW offer a lifetime warranty against manufacturing and material defects on all non-electrical catalogued items.

Due to the high level of confidence in the longevity of products, AKW feel assured in offering a quibble free lifetime warranty, excluding normal wear and tear, in general domestic applications.

Returns

What is your returns policy?

If for any reason you are unhappy with your goods please notify AKW within 28 days for showering products and within 3 days for kitchens products.
