AKW Raise £1,500 for Charity with Second Annual Colleague Raffle

In November 2024, AKW colleagues organised their second annual internal raffle with the aim of fundraising for two deserving charities.

Following the overwhelming success of our 2023 raffle which was held in aid of the High Sheriff of Worcestershire’s Challenge, AKW decided to make the autumn raffle an annual fundraising event.

Colleagues were asked to decide which charities would be supported by our efforts, and subsequently two charities were selected. These were Acorns Children’s Hospice in Worcester, a fantastic cause local to the AKW offices in Droitwich Spa, and Cancer Research UK who we have supported for the last three summers through our participation in the Pretty Muddy 5K Race for Life.

A whopping 28 prizes were donated by our incredibly generous network of suppliers, customers and colleagues. Winners were thrilled to win a Virgin experience day, Ninja Air Fryer, variety of high street, restaurant and supermarket shopping vouchers, and bottles of champagne, among many others.

Thanks to everyone’s kindness, just under £1,500 was raised through the sale of raffle tickets. AKW has since committed to top up this total, enabling us to donate £750 to each of this year’s chosen charities.
