The biggest thinkers amongst us spend over a year in the bathroom in their lifetime, according to a recent survey. It seems that so many people now are feeling comfortable in their bathrooms that this has become THE place that they come up with their best ideas and most productive thoughts.
The same study suggested that 40% of you out there think that you come up with your best thoughts and your eureka moments when you’re in the shower, bath or on the loo! When we compare this to just 12% of you that think you get your best thinking done at work, there may be something in this research for bosses all over the UK… make your office more like a bathroom!
It has been revealed that the average Brit spends 22 minutes in the bathroom every day, which equates to just under 450 days across the average lifetime. When you think of it that way, it’s no real surprise that it seems to be the location for many a brainwave.
So, do you take your time in the bathroom and give yourself time to think? Maybe you love a long shower to wash away the day and immerse yourself in bubbles and your thoughts? (If you do, you should take a look at our shower seats.) Or maybe you have what you like to call your epiphany toilet? If you are a bathroom thinker, what are you doing when you have your best ideas?
Or are you one of those people who just get in and out of the bathroom? There’s no thinking and no messing around. Leave your thoughts in the comments section below, we’d love to know what you all think (and where it is that you think it).
Study conducted on www.onepoll.com in June 2013 with 200 respondents.
