Team AKW Take on Pretty Muddy 5K for Third Year

On Saturday 13^th July 2024, 14 AKW colleagues from our Droitwich Spa offices took on the Pretty Muddy 5K Race for Life at Worcester Racecourse.

The annual charity event requires eager participants to run, jog or walk a 5K distance, while tackling a number of wet and muddy obstacles along the way, which includes an inflatable slide with a delightful mud pit at the bottom!

This is the third consecutive year that AKW have entered a team to take part, with several colleagues braving the muddy assault course more than once, and representatives from across the business getting involved.

Pretty Muddy veteran and General Manager Paul Tingey was joined by Logistics Director Matt Till, Donna Lewitzkyi, Jessica Hobbs, Joanne Odgers, Josie Davies, Kerry Diubek, Lauren Williams, Lisa Phillips, Lizzie Taylor, Samantha Smith, Sharon Oldfield, Tom Morgan and James Dufton, who smashed the course as we all knew they would!

Team AKW managed to raise £2,176.25 (inc. gift aid) in aid of Cancer Research UK this time around, with a grand total of over £8,800 raised since our first event in 2022. We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part, and to all those who sponsored us!
