The AKW Easter Bunny Delivers Again!

- Written by Connor

For the third year running, AKW colleagues in Worcestershire and Cheshire, and from DLP on the Isle of Man collected Easter eggs in aid of local good causes and have successfully smashed previous years’ totals with 331 chocolate treats donated!

The AKW team in Droitwich Spa collected 226 eggs which were delivered locally in time for the Easter bank holiday weekend. This year donations were made to:

+ Riverbank children’s ward at Worcester Hospital

+ Acorns Children’s Hospice in Worcester

+ New Hope Children’s Day Centre for children with complex healthcare needs in Worcester

+ Arley House in Stourport-on-Severn for residents living with dementia

+ Westmead Residential Care Home in Droitwich Spa for residents living with dementia

+ Juniper House Residential Care Home for residents living with dementia

+ Droitwich Spa foodbank

Colleagues from our newly refurbished AKW office in Middlewich, Cheshire visited the children’s ward at Leighton Hospital in Crewe, where they donated 52 eggs to the young patients.

53 eggs were also collected by our colleagues at DLP which were given to the Isle of Man foodbank, who have been offering local vulnerable residents access to donations, crisis support, and guidance since 2013.

We’re extremely grateful to everyone who kindly contributed to the 2024 Easter Egg appeal and are thrilled to have seen the totals each year consistently grow – along with the enthusiasm from our employees across the British Isles.

Since 2022 we’ve proudly donated 800 chocolate treats to 12 fantastic charities, care facilities and hospitals – let’s see how many we can add to that in 2025!
