Here at AKW, a lot of thought goes into the designs of our accessible showers, as we want to help create bathrooms that can be accessed by users of all abilities. Thoughts around the features and accessories such as our shower seats, shower trays, screens and much more have all been carefully designed and manufactured to be user-friendly, accessible and look great.
We know that when choosing an accessible shower, we don’t want to affect the aesthetics of our bathrooms, which again is why a lot of care and thought goes into the appearance of our AKW electric and mixer showers.
Electric Showers – For our electric showers we have the SmartCare Lever, SmartCare Plus and other carefully designed showers to allow you to find the perfect choice! We have several options to suit your needs and requirements.
The SmartCare Lever is very easy to use and has been awarded with the DSDC Dementia-friendly product accreditation.
The SmartCare Plus comes with a remote that controls power, temperature & flow, a 150kg load-bearing riser/grab rail, has a matt anti-glare finish for those that have visual impairments.
Mixer Showers – We have a variety of different mixer showers that look great and are designed to enable quick and easy installation. They are also very easy to clean!
The Arka Care Thermostatic Mixer Shower has an integral stainless steel grab riser for support, a 2-meter shower hose for assisted showering and many other key benefits for users of all abilities.
The Arka Cool Touch Mixer Shower has a chrome plated bar that ensures the bar is cool to touch whilst water is flowing, an easy-grip handset holder to allow flexible showerhead position, rounded levers for safety and easy to grip temperature and flow handles.
